FORCING TO BUY OLD MEAT! Will NEVER GO or recommend.In the past they made many mistakes in billing either quantity or extra products,Today afternoon when the meat shop is not very busy I choose goat meat from display and requested staff guys to cut medium size, when I was watching he took a meat from a try which outside temperature started cutting for me. When I confirmed he is lying it’s a same meat I was standing front of him and I can see the meat he picked from outside shelf is very dry and old definitely not the one I choose, the staff reply we sell only this or you walk out without buying. Rude & disrespectful one side other side he is forcing me to buy old meat which I don’t want.

Poor customer service. Prices or on the higher side compared to the other Indian stores in Amstelveen. Quality is ok, though one needs to check the items thoroughly for the expiry dates.

Bill inconsistencies. The brother of the owners wife is the culprit.I always make payments with my bank card. When the price of a product is 0.99ct or ends with that number. He manually rounds the number up into the system per item, yes ladies and gentlemen per item.0.99ct isnt 1.00 euro 4.99 isnt 5.00 YOU MORON! It only applies for people who are paying CASH!! and after scanning ALL items you round the number up or down, if necessary.I showed him the bill and he didnt like it to say the least...not the fact there were inconsistencies but that I pointed it out.It ended up being a argument that only someone with his logic could understand.From that day on my family members and I received the silent treatment from him.Yesterday I bought 3 items instead of a large quantity because he was standing at the check out, even though they have a pos system now I didnt trust him and again bill inconsistencies. (see photo)You can easily spot where he entered the price manually.As a loyal customer now former customer I have given you the chance to redeem yourself but the fact remains that you are stealing consciously and it doesnt matter what the amount is. STEALING = STEALING

I have been doing my Asian food shopping here. A very good store and never had any problems. I can find good quality products . A very good store for doing Indian food shopping. Location is good and you can park easily.

8 years ago we moved from Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer to Amstelveen. I was used to Helal et Gida, an excellent Turkish local grocery, where I could get fresh herbs such as mint and cilantro, spices in larger quantities for better prices that at chain supermarkets, nuts, legumes and fresh fruit and veg, some more exotic, but always at excellent prices. Helal et Gida supplies restaurants in Oost/Watergraafsmeer as well, for example.At the time, there was no alternative in Amstelveen. I had tried this shop at Lindenlaan before, but found mostly dried goods; no fresh herbs.Until one day, it must have been around four years ago when I noticed something different outside: fresh produce on display! It turns out there is a new owner.Since then, I drop by whenever I need to stock up on cumin, cinnamon, lentils and the like; or when I need limes, cilantro, mint, pomegranate (and cannot go to the friday weekmarket at Stadshart). I have not tried the meat store next door, mostly since we are cutting down on meat and what we eat I try to buy organic.Although the shop can work a bit small/crowded, I appreciate the excellent selection. Originally it was a Pakistani shop, that may help you get an idea of what to find there. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I had to get used to the opening hours; they open at noon, then again stay open until 21.00. Swinging by after dropping the kids off to school just never worked.Free parking.

The shop is very accommodating. The people are truly amazing, they are hard working, honest and simply delightful.The food store is the best in Amstelveen, it has the largest assortment. It also has a lot of attractive discounts.The halal meat shop is also very nice. The meat is always fresh.I enjoy eating the snacks they sell for small prizes.In the 6 years I shop at the Kashmir food store, they have never disappointed me.I appreciate their passion and daily grind to deliver us our needs!

Very High prices... Not happy with service either. Articles never arrive to them on time, and its very inconvenient that its closed on mondays.. I would otherwise reccomend other Indian Food Supermarkers In Amstelveen instead.

Good store but we cannot get fresh vegetables.

Never ever go there. pathetic customer service. Rude people. Highly avoidable. Choices of products were also limited

Varieties of grocery items available, meat quality is good too.

Not impressed. Very little space to move. Cant even bend over to look at the products on the lower shelve. Some products are expired. Staff seems very unfriendly towards their paying customers.

Store is not to impressive but a reasonable selection, point taken, theres better prices at the chinese wholesale store but thats further away. Take away food i do like. Next to some other good indian food in Amsterdam / Amstelveen, the lady makes her own unique flavors that are quite different, home cooking style next to the standard Indian restaurant selection it offers nice variety.

UpdateUpdate: Special gifts are given during Ramzaan , whatever amount you buy, 10 percent of it is given as extra gift.Mix of positives and negetives. Firstly positive, Location and offering- Best and for having 2 shops side by side, gives a buyer a wide array of things to buy. Negetive: store is Not really organised and lack service due to manpower crunch but if asked, always help is provided.Positive: Friendly cordial stuff, will remind u your homes Kirana shop.So overall a thumbs up.

Random pricing of goods.Shopkeeper is trying to emotionally sell a lot of items which he has kept at a extremely high price.MRP and date of expiry are always changed by the shopkeeper.A lot of items are in shelf even expiry date has passed by months.
