Ramada Amritsar is an excellent property. Hotel is very conveniently located if you wish to visit Golden Temple-Sri Harmandir Sahib, Partition Museum, Jalianwala Baug and the lively Bazaars of Amritsar are all within walking distance.I felt very safe during my stay as all the staff followed strict hygiene procedures. Rooms are plush and well maintained. Breakfast is delicious and service is prompt.Above all is the wonderful staff in this hotel who will make sure your stay is a memorable one. Special Thanks to Mr. Inderpal - Assistant Front Office Manager & Mr. Alok - Front Desk Executive, their kindness and hospitality is exemplary.Going forward Ramada Amritsar will be my choice of hotel during my visit to the city. Thank you Ramada Amritsar

Mostly packed and hard to book in, but if you do the location is ideal if youre in town for Golden Temple and the famous shopping and food. Lies in the heart of the city with each side having local food, local shopping market and walking path on the third to the golden temple. I guess parking is just a bit of an issue if theyre over booked.

This is my second time at a Ramada property after staying at Ramada Jaipur. I feel it is a regular thing at Ramada to not have any security setup at any of their properties. Anyone can enter the property at anytime during the day and there is just no security check being done. Absolutely unacceptable and that too in cities flooded with tourists. Anyone looking for a safe stay, try booking some other hotel.Standard Rooms are too small with just a feet or two space around the small queen size bed and bathroom is congested too with a rain head shower.

Though its a 5 star hotel, it lacks in certain areas and has its pros in various areas too.Don’t be fooled by the outlook of the hotel.PROS:1. Situated right in the busy shopping district of Amritsar city, you could just walk over to many shops, eateries within a stone throw away.2. Security guards are always on guard for the safety of the hotel guests and are always friendly.3. The doorman is extremely friendly with his greetings each time he opens the door for you.4. The breakfast buffet has a wide spread of variety but its the same old food almost daily so after 2 days, u might wanna skip having your breakfast there and head out. Their coffee & tea are a must to try out!CONS:1. The interior of the hotel seems rather old and refurbished.2.The Roman paintings on the walls of this hotel are of a very low resolution printing instead of actual painting.Well from this you can notice they aren’t original itself.haha3. Do inspect the toilets and the rooms thoroughly if you book a deluxe room. My deluxe room was pretty small though from the website images it seemed rather big.haha The toilet sink had crack marks and they dun really have a vanitytops. They are only available for Superior rooms and they are much bigger in room size.4. We had issues when we came back to our country as the hotel double charged us.We had to send a couple of emails and had to be harsh so that things get moving and settled fast.Well things move rather slow in india....So double check your transaction always when paying by card.

The staff at the hotel are incredibly helpful and polite. They always have a smile on their faces while greeting us, and never fail to ask if there is anything else they can do to help. The restaurant has delicious food, and food we can trust to be prepared in a clean and hygienic kitchen. The chef will accomodate any requests you have, and will even cook things that aren’t on the menu whenever he can. The breakfast has a good spread and is always tasty. Their chai is to die for!Location of the hotel is great because it is only a 10 minute walk to the golden temple, and there are lots of markets and stores just outside the hotel.I would like to say a special thank you to the team at the restaurant, especially Sapna, who were incredibly friendly and helpful with guiding us and also answering all our questions, as this was our first time in Amritsar. Also thank you to Enakshmi who became a close friend to us on our short trip, she was one of the most helpful and cheerful person at the hotel. Another thank you to the housekeeping team, and the Sardaar doormen who always had a smile on their faces which could brighten up your day. They all made us feel so warm and welcomed.I would definitely recommend this hotel

Old ageing Hotel, come to know from staff that towels and linen last replaced 1 year back, really towels and linen were in bad shape, all overused, never expected this from Wyndham chain of hotels, given 3 star for location, which is in centre of all activities, Katra jaimal Singh, shastri bazar, kesar da dhaba, jaliyawalan Bagh, golden temple all major attraction within walking range of 1 km. However plenty of cycle and battery rickshaw available everywhere for very reasonable fare.many more reasonably priced hotels available in surrounding. Breakfast was very average with limited options, this hotel is in Old part of the town, so you will not get any scenic view from any of the rooms, visible only brickwall houses surrounding. Lobby area is very small and congested, staffs also not so customer friendly, except few male staff who were really cooperative.the next time i will stay somewhere else..

The staff is pathetic...Their restaurant manager, Mr. Rahul is an extremely arrogant and ill-mannered human being..He is so rigid....Room service is delayed most of the times....One is expected to remind them twice for a petty thing....They dont treat their customers well....The only plus point is its location, The Golden Temple is at a walking distance from the property....As far as the rooms are concerned, they are pretty good and spacious but one hardly pays any heed to this because of their horrible service...Overall, we had a terrible experience...

It was 5 mins away from the partition musuem and most of the famous dhabhas. The golden temple was 10 mins walking distance. The great thing about the hotel was also that it was bang in the middle of a market. So shopping was a breeze. The art on the walls, the demeanour of the staff everything was top notch. This was my second time being at Ramada Amritsar and the service and the premises have gotten worse. Both my husband and I became very ill (upper respiratory infection) caused by pollution even while wearing masks and a moldy room. Asked for a room change twice and even though friends were checking out told no room available and totally dismissed. They lost my $600 night guard, we think house keeping just tossed it in the trash. The breakfast was sub par! The service at breakfast was good. However the food quality was sad, Holiday inn Delhi had quality food and extensive choices, Ramada by compare is a 2 out of 10. The front desk was unhelpful and rude, continued to address my husband even though the reservation was under my name. Would recommend more English classes for staff, had to explain very basic issues and requests multiple times, and only when my husband spoke Punjabi did they understand. We checked out three days ahead of time because we just couldn’t take it any longer asked for a refund, was offered none. Not even a day, not even a new room after we told them the room was moldy. Water could be heard pouring from above the bathroom and bed. No bathroom vent fan or it wasn’t working! Work being done on the 5th floor entire day, banging throughout the day, never told any repairs were being done. Room is extremely small and outdated.

Nice hotel and staff. One of the best hotels that is closest to the Golden Temple. The Golden Temple is 10 mins by an e rickshaw. The museum is only 5 mins from the hotel and a must visit. As soon as you step out of the hotel, there will be e rickshaws/autos following you and pestering you to hire them. And for some reason they all want to take you to the local market for shopping. I assume because they get commission from the shops they take you to. The best way to go to the local market or Golden Temple is an e rickshaw that charges around Rs. 50. You need to bargain. Do not take an auto because after a particular point, autos are not allowed and you would have to walk all the way. The e rickshaw drops you right outside the Golden Temple. The roads are secluded and there werent sufficient road lights on our way to the hotel when returned from the temple which was around 10pm.We had spoken to Mr. Sandeep from the Travel desk and informed him that we are 2 ladies travelling and wanted an e rickshaw to be arranged by the hotel for safety reasons. However he was insistent that we can take an e rickshaw that is available outside the temple. He was not helpful in his approach and was not ready to listen or understand. This was disappointing. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel so cant comment on the food. They do serve non vegetarian food. The breakfast was a good spread with a lot of options for people on a healthy diet.We had a twin bed room that was huge and spacious. However, it seemed the carpet in the room was not cleaned.Since we had an evening flight, we left our luggage at the hotel and went around shopping. There were 2 ladies both by the name of Raman who took care of our luggage. They were efficient and ever smiling. Our booking was done by Ms. Suruchi who took care of our requirements.

The most disappointing experience ever. Went there because of the high rating on MakeMyTrip but realised that OYO rooms are much better than this, Trust me!Hotel staff was extremely unprofessional. Management was incompetent and totally reluctant to help with any concerns. Different people were saying different things and nobody was ready to take any responsibility.Attributing to their poor management, I spent half a day battling with their unqualified staff to get my room finally ready which almost ruined my vacation. I got frustrated to an extent that I had to ask for the manager and Mr. Rohit at the front desk informed me that he was not available at the hotel which frankly if true further demonstrates the unprofessionalism and low standards set at this hotel. On insisting further, he said that he would arrange a call to speak with the manager ASAP while he actually kept postponing the matter till the end by constantly misleading me that the issue was being looking into proactively but ultimately it was dismissed without any closure.Breakfast was complimentary but absolutely hideous to taste. As if all the inconvenience was not enough, their restaurant staff even tried to sneak in a bill for the breakfast to my family in my absence when I was busy dealing with all this nonsense. The unfortunate thing is that these concerns were not even addressed by the management let alone a sincere apology for all the trouble they put me through. Something thats definitely not expected from a 4-star hotel. Im sure there are better places to stay in Amritsar after experiencing the hospitality every part of the city had to offer except for this hotel.

This is the only hotel I choose to stay at when I visit Amritsar. The room quality is good but the service is exceptional. It is also very well located, right between the market and walking distance to the golden temple which makes it ideal for me and my family.I have recommended it to many friends and they to have loved their stay here.

Superb hotel right in the middle of old City, a great spread of breakfast. Rooms are well decored, the best part being the courtyard that can be seen from each room.

The hotel facilities in general are very nice especially the rooftop. The 1 star is for the services, staff coordination and maintenance which need vast improvement.1) We stayed in room 325 and water would leak outside the shower area completely flooding rest of the bathroom floor after every use of shower. Even putting 2 large towels on the floor were not enough to absorb the water and floor would get slippery and dangerous.2) We had booked our room about a month in advance and specifically asked for an extra bed. Even though we checked in quite late at 8 pm, the room wasn’t ready. The reception offered to ‘upgrade’ us to a room with 3 beds. When we went to the room, it had only 2 beds. The bell boy said they would put the 3rd bed by the time we got back from dinner. When we got back at 1030pm, there was still no 3rd bed. The reception then asked us for written or email record of our original request for the 3rd bed, which was impossible as this was discussed on the phone. The whole thing was utterly ridiculous in that the customer is requesting repeatedly for a standard hotel service willingly offering to pay whatever extra charges applicable, but the hotel reception just creating unnecessary hurdles. Ultimately the hotel manager came to the rescue and put together the extra bed himself. To his credit he apologized profusely but by that time, we were thoroughly exhausted having spent the whole day traveling and our plans to to visit the Golden Temple at sunrise were ruined because of this late night inconvenience.3) Quite often, the keys stop working. We stayed only 1 night but experienced this with 2-3 replacement keys. The hotel management asked us if we the room was really ours making it seem like it was our fault. But when I read some of the past reviews, it seems to be a regular problem which they are not motivated to fix.
