Nurse parminder is the most positive and caring nurse I have ever encountered. My mother in law was on the third floor and I called from Canada everyday to inquire about her. Nurse Parminder went out of her way to accommodate our requests and charged my mother’s phone whenever she needed. We are very thankful for nurses like her, being in a different country away from family is very hard, but people like her make it easier. Since I live in Pathankot, with some reference, in advance we had a word with hospital authorities regarding the availability of room and we informed, that we will be there by 6.30pm with a covid positive patient with pneumonia. We were told that the double occupancy room is ready since single room was not available at that time as we had requested.We went to emergency nd they gave us a slip that we had to take to the reception.. I asked them if I can get the patient from the car.. Buh they told me that NO they will get the patient from car.So, I went to the reception and did all the paper work and deposited 50k, the room was alloted too.Now I was asked to go back to emergency and show them the slip.. It was already 7.10pm doing all the formalities.Now! in ER I handed over the papers and asked them to get the patient from the car as his fever had risen upto 104°F and was very uneasy sitting for so long in the car. But ER people were not concerned. They were just ignoring. I requested them again and again to please take the patient but to no avail. Instead they ask me to wait outside.. I kept waiting another half an hour or more.. Nd I requested again to please take the patient he is not well. But they dont reply anything.. They were so LOST... as if they didnt knew anything.. Just looking at each other...Nd Finally at 8.30pm since they were doing nothing. I took him to another hospital where as soon as we reached they atleast took him in. They are a bunch of idiots id rather say. Who doesnt know there job.. Who sit and waste there and others time. They dont value life.

The Hospitals all services and facilities can be good no doubt, but is of No Use if its staff doesnt know how to communicate with the patients At All and guide the patients.I have to write such a review just because of a security guard named Balwainderjeet singh.I had to come up to the hospital, along with my father, at 5am for his X-ray; since he got a PACEMAKER in his heart a few months back from Fortis & it was perhaps misplaced from its position.That was the only reason we had to visit the hospital so early.But the way the guard spoke to us was Not Appropriate in any manner. This private hospital saved my life. I was admitted and discharged after 5 days. The staff on floor 5 are spectacular, especially nurses Harman Kaur, Kirandeep Kaur and Kiranjeet Kaur, Dr. Mehra (GP), Dr. Rupy (Dietician), Dr. Basra (Medicines).Fortis is the preferred hospital group in India for Axa Travel Insurance Group, albeit facilitated through Meera Rescue as the local intermediary for foreigners.Bring your own pen and at least 30,000 in cash as their card terminals do not accept foreign cards and neither does the ATM.You will have to register with your passport and pay 500 rupees to see a GP and 100 rupees service charge. Dr Mehra came highly recommended (professional and ethical) and if you can wait, only see him.Upon registration, I would ask reception to arrange a porter if you don’t speak the local language to help you navigate the chaos of getting your vitals checked then into the queue to see Dr. Mehra, amidst people with existing appointments.Do not lose sight of your registration folder as nothing is electronic here and you could find yourself at the bottom of the queue. Don’t wait for your turn to be called. Chase until they tell you how many people are before you then watch the doctors door like a hawk until it’s your turn. I paid 6600 rupees for comprehensive blood and urine tests, chest x Ray, abdomen ultrasound, heart ecg.The porter wont be offered so press them for one and stick with this individual as they will take you and your folder from pillar to post to get all the tests done, the free porter will ditch you at the first chance so keep them occupied or you will have to wait your turn for ultrasound and ecg and deal with the frustration of trying to get these tests done before the GP departs to do the ward rounds, miss him and you’re done for, (today)!Once you get your tests from room 7, go back to Dr. Mehra who will produce another hand written notice, it is crucial to ensure the word diagnosis is underlined twice and written in block capitals so your insurance don’t mess you about and can see this clearly from the tests.Send this report to Axa yourself don’t expect the hospital to do anything for you, they want your cash not to have to chase up your insurer and this is where the path of resistance begins with Axa/Meera/Fortis.If the GP advises you to be admitted and you have the cash to cover their 20,000 deposit then do so and follow up with Axa as you are admitted for registration in cabin 2. Had a very bitter experience last month. My father was admitted twice and at both occasions the hospital failed to provide adequate care. Nurses communicate by shouting in the corridors where Keep Silence signs are up. They did not know where patient file was. It took more than 5 hours to start blood transfusion. Some staff try to be helpful but the system does not work overall due to poor communication between departments. As a carer your questions are not answered. Bed ridden patients wait in agony to empty their bowels for half an hour but the staff would only come when they are available. Even billing was incorrect at one occasion. Only person who was with her job was dietitian. Those days of my life where I felt helpless, sad and at mercy of people who were, sometimes, good at talking but would not ready to do their jobs properly.

The worst hospital I have seen in my life. If it would upto me, I want to shut the hospital down or turn it into a morgue which it really is. My grandma was healthy and had episode of DKA and they made it worse, gave her worse infection(CLABSI) possible and killed her. The worse part is that they were not even sorry for their negligence on their part. I wish that all the doctors and nursing staff who are responsible die miserable death and remember all the patient they could have saved in their last days. I know its very unprofessional and emotional review but 17 days of continued struggle of my family makes me so frustrated. Please do yourself a favor, get second opinion and if you really want to save your loved one get them safe care where there is sanitation and infection prevention protocols are followed. Please if a government professional is reading this, get this place audited and get it to shut down.
