Its a beautiful stone and they have most of what you could want, but. If youre not there to buy a gun or spending a lot of money help is hard to come by. One time while looking for something I asked a clerk some help and he pointed and said its somewhere over that way. You are better off on line if can wait for shopping.

It is a beautiful store, the eyes are welcomed as you walk into the lobby. The selection is very good, good quality of merch as well. Prices are on the high end in my opinion but I am not qualified to compare I just know I dont have the kind of money to buy here often. Giving a choice I would prefer to though. I visited the store about a week before Christmas, and both of the employees that assisted me were very helpful and took their time answering my questions. I didnt realize just how much they have in the store, I will definitely go back before camping season starts!

Buy local doesnt really excuse this as its not a mom and pop store but instead a national chain.Why 2 stars? I was walking through the firearms section and a salesman was talking to a customer. The customer was concerned about buying a firearm and then concealing it in the vehicle without a concealed carry. The customer was slow. The salesperson, wanting to make a sale, told the customer that it was okay to conceal it until he/she could get a concealed carry permit and that the police would understand if he/she was caught.So thats bad advice. That salesman was not a lawyer nor law enforcement and that salesperson gave advice that was illegal.Thats incredibly inappropriate; he wore your heraldry and represented your company.2 stars is generous. You deserve 1 star for allowing your staff to pull stunts like that.

Excellent customer service with a wide variety of many name brand items. They honor their own online specials for at store level as well which hardly any company does. I highly recommend going here for all of your sporting goods needs!

I recently bought a new rifle at the Altoona Sportsmans Warehouse. The purchase was made on the advice of Noah. Not only did Noah take the time to tell me about the rifles features, he also took the time to answer my questions. Throughout the entire time, Noah was very patient and provided excellent customer service. When it came time to pay for the rifle, accessories, and open a new credit card, Noah and Amanda completed the process quickly and efficiently. From start to finish, this was an extremely easy and pleasant experience. Thank you for the wonderful customer service!!! Twice I have ordered a bow and twice this company cant keep track of stock and cancel the order. The second time I even spoke to customer service to order (who said it was in stock). They have no idea how to run a good business! When you call corporate they give you a bunch of bs and do NOTHING! Thanks for cancelling a Christmas present but not telling me till 12/23! Great job! Dont waste your time with this place! Ill be cancelling my credit card and will be going to Cabelas or anywhere really. Thanks for screwing up our Christmas!

So Im a nooob. Im just now getting into hunting (not new to guns in general but not too savy on hunting rifles) and the fella who sold me my rifle wasnt judging me at all for not knowing anything about it. Instead he was very informative and took time explaining everything to me. Now its all about practice at this point and I am so thankful that he was so kind and didnt get overwhelmed with all my crazy questions. Thank you for the wonderful customer service!

Its not the same as when it was Field & Stream , but I get it. Selection was still good, but not like before, and of course there was less service - thats the point. When it was Field & Stream, I bought $180 hiking boots. This most recent trip, I looked over the stock on hand, but ended up buying something else online.

I went for new shoes because I placed mine a little too close to the fire and burnt them lol and a coyote call. They had about four pairs of mens shoes and zero coyote calls. They had plenty of hiking boots and electronic predator calls though if thats what youre looking for.

I took the kids in here yesterday and they had a lot of fun just looking around. The animals were neat to look at and the camping supply section was huge.

Not bad for ammo, but way, way overpriced for just about everything else. Can find most products online significantly cheaper

This is an updated of a previous review. I increased my original rating, as it seems like things have gotten better after some time has passed since changing from Field and Stream. I also found new/easier ways to get what I want/need from the store, like buying online and picking up at the store. This is especially helpful with firearms, as you dont have to worry about things being out of stock and eliminates a lot of the waiting.

Stopped in to see about a gift. I had a couple people ask if I needed help. Wow, they got it 100% right on! I will go back. A lot of nice things even if youre not into outdoors

Anything you need outdoorsy...they got it. I personally went in for a handgun purchase. The guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. He had a few customers at once and didnt make it feel like you were any less or more important than the others. Great experience.

Recently bought a Firearm here and they have reasonable prices and I had great customer service. I would definitely recommend this retailer to any of my friends.

The store was a good place to pick up hunting and other sports gear. The prices were a little high but I supported them because they are local and convenient. I did purchase several guns from them as there were some good deals on sale. I stopped going there about a year ago because of the corporate stance on gun control. They stopped selling AR15 semiautomatic rifles and the new policy (from 2/2018) is to refuse lawful purchases of firearms to anyone under the age of 21.They no longer need my business.

It was the grand opening so some merchandise was still being shelved, however all the employees we encountered greeted us happily and were very pleasant. It seems like the inventory is being increased compared to the field and stream that was previously at this location. Looking forward to returning here in the future!

The staff who work there were very accommodating to me being in a wheelchair and handicapped. They set me up with all the fishing gear that I would need,and did not try to be pushy to get me to buy more. They were very knowledgeable about what they sold.

Beautiful store and it is very clean and well stocked. Amazing displays of wildlife. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful. However I took away a star for the relentless nagging to buy more accessories... protection plans... credit cards... point cards.... and whatever else they could find, it just never stopped. Also had to take 2 stars for their personal gun policy.

Only was in the fishing area. Multiple items to choose from but higher prices than Im willing to pay. I did buy a few things only because they were 20% off. Customer service was disappointing. No one had the answer or could answer the question I had. (Do you have wading pants?) I left without the answer.
