Great Store, friendly staff

We were asked in every department we entered if we needed help. When we said yes, we were very happy with the help provided, the answers to our questions and friendly staff. Very pleased with our shopping experience.

My wife and I went there and had a great experience thanks to Dakota he was extremely helpful and got us exactly what we needed and didnt complain one bit even though I tried on like 5 pairs of shoes before I found what I wanted great place excellent people

Lots of stuff but can be expensive

I can not stand when the associates in the shoe department try and tell me my kids shoe size. Half of them are kids themselves and have no clue what my kids wear and what they need. Then when you try the shoe on and tell them they need a bigger size they disappear for a good ten minutes. Walked out of the store last weekend because of that exact reason. Maybe train them better

Horrible Curbside service. After 20 min of checking in I walked into the store to let them know I was waiting. Took an additional 12 minutes to bring out weight sets. Did not apologize instead they blamed the system for not sending the check-in notification.

Stopped by for a curbside pickup, checked in through the app and waited 20 minutes only to find out they never knew I had checked in. Then I had to wait again for them to bring out my order, never coming back.

The staff was very help full!! We where by the shoe area n he help us find the perfect fit n gave us good feed back. As well as by the soccer ball and shin guards!! The young fellow there was as well on top of everything and helped out finding everything!! Very satisfied

When I ask for help, most of the staff acts like Im annoying them. They are never able to answer my questions or the answer they always have is I dont know. In the end, they never help me and practically stand around doing nothing. I would highly recommend better training in general for knowledge about the store they work at.

We always have niceexperiences here. Today, however, I left very upset. We have been going in weekly since the summer and my son is looking for just the jersey that he wants. Yesterday we put that one on hold and when I came back today to get it, it had been dispersed from the holding area and gone. I spent too much time and energy into trying to find it and maybe ordering another one. Very disappointing. However, even with this, we have had great times there this past year and am so grateful for the time that Mile has put into talking with my son. Very grateful for that.

Curbside pickup was really slow took 30 minutes

Not a single piece of white sox clothing.a few weeks before spring training.and the white sox have been the hottest team in the off season.(that didnt cheat).back to amazon. wont waste my time at the algonquin store anymore. people responsible for seasonal rotation of merch. have been off alot at this store. now they are loaded with blackhawks stuff. but at the beginning of the season pickings were slim.

This store is the worst at customer service. They never have anyone to help. Today I left my 8 items because the cashier was arguing with me over a $1 difference in price. The bin was clearly labeled but was ringing up differently. Im done.

The Algonquin store always have what I am looking for in stock. They have an incredible selection of Baseball equipment and the Hittrax cage is sweet! Dicks has done a fantastic job of community engagement and establishing there brand as the one and only place to go for your sporting and outdoor adventures. Have shopped here for years and especially helpful this past holiday season with some online order pick-ups and exchanges. They were very helpful, fast and courteous. Also appreciate their recent policy changes. Customer for life!

Identical to every other Dicks Ive Bern to. Well stocked with items that you can get cheaper on line and brands that are over priced to begin with. Employees were courteous, but I didnt call on anyone to be knowledgable or helpful on this day. Plenty of parking.

Definitely needs more cashiers. Even on days where there arent sales it can be upwards of 20 minutes to check out. The prices are also much higher on certain items than they would be online or at another store. If you need something that day, then I guess dicks would be a good choice. Any other situation, go online or elsewhere.

Nobody has ever left this store feeling that they got a good deal. Best if you buy stuff that is on clearance in the off season. At that point prices are fair.

NOT HAPPY. The Algonquin location is understaffed. I dread shopping here, yet it’s the only place in the McHenry County area that has sporting goods. They have the monopoly, so why bother with Customer Service???

Since Sports Authority closed, were limited to only one sporting goods store. Overall good selection but its hit or miss on pricing. The shoes seem to be marked up more than anything. For example, even applying a Dicks coupon, I was able to find the exact same pair of shoes at the shoes manufacturers website cheaper - including shipping! Also most departments could have a little more staff that are more knowledgeable on sports.

The layout of the store was very organized! Scott in the camping department was extremely friendly and knowledgeable!

Large selection. Found what we needed. Could have used some help but not much staff. Just a few changing rooms. Knocked on a couple doors before finding an empty one. Waited a while at the register. Cashier seemed very tired but polite.

Always call to check stock in stores. The websites are not up to date even if the phone systems say to check online. Always call to check with employee and confirm same exact wording of the item you are looking for. The employees tried to be helpful but no one took responsibility when they realized they made mistakes. Very annoying trip that was ultimately for naught.

The Algonquin store would not extend a Black Friday price for a treadmill on Wednesday. We had friends go to the Gurnee store and was given the Black Friday price on Tuesday, for the same product. So after the Algonquin store denied us, we contacted the Deer Park store and boom no problem. From now on...I will not go to the Algonquin store.

Never have size in stock, especially shoes. Customer service poor at best even though there may be lots of floor coverage. Numerous items have no price marked on shelf so you are forced to find an associate together a price.

The bike department was VERY helpful and the reason I bought a bike from them.

The staff did not respond to help call buttons. What should have been a 20 minute trip took an hour to find three items thanks to the staffs lack of knowledge on where items were in the store. The store was also messy with products all over the sales floor making it close to impossible to move a cart around.

I bought a Kyak which I really like.It just took quite a while to get service.

I precalled to make sure they had the item I wanted. When I was there could not find any staff member to help me. I found it by my self had only one left.

I went there after my team won the Championship. Stock was good, lines were long but they added many extra registers to get customers through. Way to go Dicks.

Very nice place for getting camping and sports items. It is a huge 2 floor shopping center.

They did amazing with helping me they where the best people he even let my son try 2 bats when they dont even have a testing room (they let me do it in the golfing room.)

Went there today to buy a backpack with the cashier being very rude rolling her eyes stoping her foot because the card was not workin and instead of calling a manager she continued to be very disrespectful to me when it was not my fault the card was not working because right after I went to a different store and was able to use it.

They only have display UA football cleats. Everything has to be ordered online. Found out after waiting 25 minutes for an employee to show up in the area. Not sure how youre supposed to check fit and comfort over the internet. Ridiculous waste of time .

I purchased a 3-year service with my bike so I brought it in today for a yearly tune up. I was told that the manager had quit and the only bike repair person on staff was injured and wouldnt be back for a month. My only option was to get my bike tuned up at the McHenry location. It doesnt seem reasonable to brush people off like that after youve already collected their service plan fee.

The staff is realy kind and helpful. A lots of products.
