If I could give negative stars, I would. This is a 3rd world hospital. There is no coordination between the staff, they dont know what the other is doing. They are slow and lazy. There was ZERO communication with me. I had to call every day to get minimal information. They confused my dad with another patient when the one time they called me. Even the patient advocate never returned my call. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and do NOT come to this awful and dangerous hospital

The very kind lady, Ms. Amanda and her Technician in the MRI dept hooked me up. After a chat with Ms. Stephanie, I was able to get in the next day, and they had an early opening last Wednesday so I could get the results I needed sent to my OS, and get to work. Much obliged for their care, LOVED THE MUSIC whilst I was in the tube, and would HIGHLY recommend these experts for your MRI needs.

Had surgery 5 months ago. I was wheeled into the operating room, lying on operating table being prepped for surgery, exposed, and I notice a camera on the wall in front of me. Most patients are either unconscious at this point from Versed/Fentanyl or similar drugs that are generally administered pre-surgery or do not recall because of the amnesia effects of some drugs. The OR I was in was used by Anderson Clinic. I was informed by INOVA that it was a live-streaming camera, projecting images of patients onto a large screen in the other connected operating room, and vice versa, for anyone in that operating room to view, even those not involved in the patients care (e.g. housekeeping that are present during turnover, medical device sales reps, and others). Why are exposed patients being imaged and projected to large screens in other operating rooms without regard to patient privacy? I was informed by INOVA administration that the constant streaming of patient images was for scheduling for the surgeons. There are multiple ways to achieve the goal of scheduling by INOVA in Anderson Clinics operating rooms without this blatant disregard for patient privacy. Im quite sure Anderson Clinic orthopedic surgeons would not appreciate being nude while being prepped for surgery and having a camera directed on them, projecting clear images to another operating room for anyone to view who happens to be there. INOVAs internal camera policy states, Images taken from a distance or at a wide angle are permitted without the acknowledgment of the patient only when it is impossible to determine an individuals identity in the image and only when no patient identifiers are captured in the image. The camera was placed right in front of patients with a clear view of patient identifiers (e.g. patientss faces for one, patient surgical images on other monitors with their x-rays, name, DOB, etc). As a side note, I edited my surgical consent form to read that I do not consent to images that are not medically necessary. The camera was not positioned consistent with INOVAs own internal policy on camera placement. The camera could have been at the back of the operating room giving a general view of the room and not directly on the patient, thermal or distorted images could have been used, a small screen only accessible to the surgeon/circulator nurse could have been used - many options outside of placing a camera directly on the patient during the entirety of their time in the operating room when a level of privacy is expected. I made a complaint 4 months ago via Patient Relations two days after my surgery, and have given INOVAs administration considerable time to respond to and correct this breach for future patients. INOVA administration acknowledged the problem, the breach, and stated they must correct it, but the first solution communicated to me, after two months, was nurse training on consent forms, patient privacy, and HIPAA. Camera placement was the problem and disregard for patient privacy. Then a full three months after my complaint I was finally told the cameras were cut off. Then weeks later after much discussion, I was informed the cameras would be removed, but found they had only been disconnected - according to INOVA administration. I had to continue to follow-up, giving INOVA 4-6 weeks between follow-ups. I was then informed by INOVA administration that the cameras would be removed Thanksgiving week and a letter confirming everything done by INOVA would be forthcoming shortly. Another month and still no confirmation of actions, excuses regarding why the cameras are still up, and at this point I have no confidence that any action has been taken. I understand from INOVA that the live streaming cameras have been in place for over a year and most likely several years. It happened to me and Im writing this to alert future patients and past patients in the hopes that INOVA corrects this and focuses on ensuring they follow their own internal policies and patient privacy protections.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WAS CHARGED EXTRA TO LEARN THE RESULTS OF A SUPPOSEDLY FULLY COVERED ANNUAL CHECKUP.I would caution anyone coming to this place using insurance that supposedly fully covers an annual exam. I had asked the insurance provider to make it clear what was covered and an annual exam should have been fully covered and the primary care physicians were supposed to be all part of the network for my insurance. I scheduled an appointment to do the regular annual exam, and the actual visit had gone smoothly and I said I was there for my annual. At the end, they said the results from the bloodwork would be available the next week and I could either come back in person or schedule a video call to learn my results. Since I live far away and it cost me $30 to get there by Lyft, I said I would prefer a virtual call and then I went on my merry way.A week later and my ten minute call to understand my results went smoothly too.And that’s where my troubles began. Soon after I got a bill for $100 and I wanted to understand why this wasn’t covered by my insurance. And the insurance representative said it’s because I had a follow up visit. I tried to clarify with the insurance representative that the second visit was a follow up to learn the results of my fully covered annual exam so why would I be charged to learn my results? Should I have tried to figure out the numbers and letters on my own? Use Google to try and decipher the charts and tables?Long story short, they said the doctor had coded the second visit as a separate visit and therefore it wasn’t considered part of the annual exam that was fully covered. None of my colleagues had to pay to learn their results so I couldn’t help but wonder if it was just a misunderstanding that could be cleared up if I talked to the office. Many (at least 5) phone calls to the office, trying their billing department and their front desk and then trying to get anyone to connect me to my doctor (Melissa Hewitt), usually after waiting for half an hour on hold before getting someone on the line and then getting transferred but transferred unsuccessfully and then being put back at the start (keying the purpose of my call in the dial pad and then being put on hold again) and ultimately disconnected (what’s the point of a hold if you get disconnected??) and I was at my wits end. On the last try before I gave up, I was able to talk to someone from the front desk who said the doctor received the memo that I had called and would call me back later as they were in an appointment. That was over a week ago and I have never gotten a call back.In the end, I did not want to pay a late fee and the insurance rep was adamant that even if they agreed that this didn’t seem right, they had to go with the doctor’s code on the bill which said it was a separate visit and not at all related to the annual exam results. Thus, this was my least successful doctor’s visit. For someone who does not need to visit the doctor and has been in good health, it was disappointing that I still had to pay $100 out of pocket just to learn my results for a procedure I thought was included in all my monthly insurance payments. Next time I will be sure to ask the next place (because I will NOT be coming back and could NOT recommend this place to anyone) whether the results are included or not. And if not...well, I have several doctor friends who could decipher my results for free. :)BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT WHETHER EACH PROCEDURE OR VISIT (including results) HERE IS FULLY COVERED AS THIS PLACE WILL NOT TELL YOU OTHERWISE EVEN IF YOU ASK FOR A FULLY COVERED ANNUAL CHECKUP. AND THEY WILL ONLY GIVE YOU OPTIONS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BECAUSE I SHOULD HAVE ASKED IF THERE WAS A WAY TO LEARN MY RESULTS WITHOUT BEING CHARGED EXTRA.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I underwent an operation here by a PHENOMENAL DOCTOR and his awesome team (highly recommend Dr. Oliver Schipper and The Anderson Orthopedic Clinic) and *the day before surgery* the billing department misrepresented themselves as acting on behalf of my doctor and claimed they were requiring payment up-front of the doctors portion of my operation. I have no issue paying my bills, but I do take issue with fraudulent misrepresentation of what Im being asked to pay.Today I contacted my doctors office for an itemized receipt to submit to my insurance and discovered I was lied to by the INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital representative and they were in no way representing my doctors office! In fact, my doctor receives no portion of what I paid (almost $2,000!) over the phone. This is a highly unethical and illegal practice. INOVA absolutely cannot misrepresent what a patient or client is being billed for just to receive payment.I am now contesting charges as I was billed for something other than what I was told. I was given no itemization, and my insurance company still hasnt received any bill from the hospital and its been 10 days since my operation. Completely unacceptable behavior by a business. INOVA needs to revisit their ethics and review finance law before they lie to patients about bills being paid ahead of time. 2 stars instead of 1 simply because I dont fault the competent doctors, nurses, and tech staff for an unprofessional billing department.

On September 26/2020, I went to to the emergency room, in the afternoon. I met with a wrestler for a nurse, taking my vitals under his command, was a painful experience, he squeezed my arm with s vengeance, and he kept that pressure, with a sadistic look in his eyes, for a long time. I kept looking at him, while he was trying to explain to me why is he doing that torture. I just kept quiet, felt like a hostage, not a patient in a hospital. Well my visit was a waste of time, they sent me home, with no treatment, no clue. Fancy building, with very poor staff. I will never forget the Hulk Hogan nurse.

I’ve been here twice once by accident and this is the worst hospital. I’ve seen the same doctor twice and she is so disrespectful and didn’t give me an explanation either time I was here of what happened just released me. I also received horrible treatment from nurses. They put me through a bunch of scans and then told me I had a panic attack which I didn’t and then never even gave me anything for a panic attack while I was there just saline. And I went there for possible stroke and they were gonna send me to another hospital if I didn’t have a stroke because they couldn’t even treat me there. They gave me a very grossly unprofessional note calling me drunks and telling me to seek help. Whoever wrote that needs to get fired and same to whoever approved it. I also had to call multiple times and come back in person to find out where my jewelry was that they never returned to me when I got a ct scan. This place is terrible. Go somewhere else. I will say, I highly recommend Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. To voice my graduate from a much deeper perspective, my reasoning for this visit was to get tested for Covid-19. My brother accompanied me which also led him to be seen for a different reason, however from the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by two professionals confirming I had a mask and able to cleanse my lands with hand sanitizer, of course, thats a giving, however, the concern of why my brothers concerns to be seen, is what made me focus on the professional who was sitting to greet us. The professional sympathize with him before even registering. Then, once I was seated to get registered, I observed the entire environment and noticed how sterile it was. It took only a few minutes to be called to the back to be seen, I was very impressed by the electronic outlets embedded in the comfy seats to charge my phone. Then, I was escorted to my room. I admire how the medical assistance informed me which room Ill be headed to before arriving so I wont feel confused while walking behind him. Once arriving at the room, of course, I gave my Chief complaint, and vitals were accessed. I took off my jacket and hoodie placing it on the lower part of the bed. The medical assistance took my belongings delicately placing them on a chair giving me extra room to stretch my legs out. The nurse arrived, extremely pleasant asked me about my personal medical history. Then placing the remote control next to me just in case if I preferred to turn on the Television. Remind you, I was there to be seen for Covid-19. Not once did I feel uncomfortable. I felt as though I was at home being nourished by family members. Once the doctor arrived Dr. Ginny G Khanna, DO. her spirit is so pure, gentle, peaceful. Slightly giving me a tap on my shoulder guaranteeing she is there to care about my needs. I cant say I enjoyed the Covid test, however, the professional who administered it was very patient and informed me of the time frame when I will receive my results.I am so blessed for this EXPERIENCE!Safe Location Safe Practice Safe SuppliesSafe Cleaning Thank you.Lakeisha D. This hospital is bittersweet. Please do not go to this emergency room for anything extremely detrimental to your health. The ER was like a ghost town. There was a lot of miscommunication and no sense of urgency. It is similar to a urgent care. The ER staff didn’t become helpful until I requested to be transferred to another hospital. The building is beautiful and the food was amazing but that was the only good part about the experience. The employees do not communicate at all and obviously need customer service training. There were some employees that were amazing and extremely helpful and then there were some that could care less until you became belligerent and irate. This was the most uneasy experience I’ve ever had at a hospital and will not return.

We found the doctors and nurses to be very compassionate and caring. All of the staff were really wonderful. We found Mount Vernon to be not only a nice place with wonderful people, but it was the place where our loved one was healed.

Shady Business practices. I got charged over a thousand for a procedure that was ultimately around a hundred dollars. I have requested a refund and am still waiting. The facility is well located and easy to get to, unlike most parking garages in most hospitals here, however, the practice of charging patients a fortune instead of going through insurance as theyre supposed to, means a burden for the patient. Do not go to this hospital if you can avoid it.UPDATE: I did get reimbursed by the hospital, but I really did not appreciate this method of obtaining payment. Its not transparent and I cant imagine the majority of people would be able to afford this method. Hopefully they will work to change those practices.

Experienced the good and bad with hospitals. Rampant miscommunication between departments and doctors, untimely communication from doctors to patients, improper handling of catheters breaking infection protocols, requesting harmful contrast to a dialysis patient that shouldnt be getting contrast, losing patient medical records and not following proper filing protocol, missing dinner trays, trying to administer wrong medications because of patient mixups, confusion over scheduled appointments that were never scheduled or assigned to the wrong patient, not administering medications on schedule. I have experienced or witnessed all of this in a span of less than one week. Now for the plus, the staff was very nice and well-meaning. However, I dont think the system here sets them up for success in all cases. That being said, I would oversee everything anyone does to you while you are in the hospital or have a family member follow along closely to prevent careless wrongdoing.

We were visiting from California when my husbands surgery scar (which his doctor in California had said was fine and he was OK to travel) became infected and burst. We spent two days at Mt Vernon Hospital, and were very impressed at the level of service and care we received. I truly felt all the staff from the doctors and nurses, to the food service and janitorial, really cared about the patients. The ER was clean, efficient and FAST! Registration was easy and we didnt feel like all they wanted was our co-pay (which was significantly less than our co-pay at home). Our doctor, nurses and techs were friendly and went above and beyond to get him discharged from the hospital (with his medical records) in time to make our flight home. So, a real mixed experience. Pros: My Dad was admitted via the ER. The ER visit was good, professional, and efficient. The nurses on the floor he was roomed were knowledgeable, professional, kind, and helpful. Mt. Vernon offers a good selection of food on their menu. Cons: While they did do a good job addressing the initial health issue, he developed significant abdominal pain when sitting up. A CT was ordered and was inconclusive; the doc wanted to release him. I said no, with the significant pain they needed to find out what it was before discharge. Next, my Dad is a diabetic and most often he was given a high carb food tray. Why? I told the nurses and the food service department that they need to make notes if a patient is on a specific diet and ensure the proper food is given; I was told they do. One meal they had for him was a grilled cheese sandwich and french fries. NO! Today, it was a large plate of spaghetti and chocolate chip cookies??!! Well, his blood sugar numbers were too high for him to be discharged today. Do you think its because of the food your giving him? Please fix this.

I was at Mount Vernon Hospital in December of 2017 for a Mammogram. I was back to Mount Vernon Hospital in June 2018 for a MRI. Everybody I came in contact with were very professional, nice, with a smile on there face. I was sent back today for follow up MRI and I felt like I was in another hospital. The way that the people did things and the way they acted and the way they talked to me really stunk this time. I was rushed, no one checked on me while I was in the MRI. They were VERY unprofessional and acted like I was inconveniencing them. I guess i should try to make my next appointment earlier so i dont keep people there when they are trying to leave for the day.

This hospital was absolutely horrible my clothes were stolen along with my money from my wallet! I had no privacy whatsoever! the roommate I had was loud the nurses didn’t care that I was suffering from migraines, I waited 3 hours for water. I was still feeling sick when I went home I told the nurses I was better just so that I would be able to go home, doctor didn’t come to check on me until dinner time!!bottom save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere

So my uncle got transferred to this hospital on floor 5th because he had a stroke and he is still in bad shape..... i was standing there at the front desk for a long time and the nurses where just talking to each other, they all saw Me but took their sweet Time to ask me if i needed help, and then some nurse came in to check on him and honestly, i had been working all day and i didnt know much of my uncles diet, and they asked if he was drinking regular water or thick water, I didnt know, so I asked my mother in Spanish (she doesnt know English) and other family members were in the room and the so call nurse got so upset and said I need to know from him and said she couldnt take it, she only speaks English not Spanish and stepped out of the room. I was asking my mom because she had been with him all day, and she knows better. but the nurse was just really rude. my family was shocked

Andrea Mickney LIED to me. I wouldnt have come here. She clearly said WITH a witness to back me up, that i could receive ON-Q . Once arrived Dr. And all of staff said i could not recieve ON-Q. This women should be fired in my opinion because now I am pretty much stuck at a hospital without the capability to treat my pain.. I made it very clear to Andrea that my situation cannot be controlled through narcotics because of my past with narcotics. I have woken up through 2 surgeries. And the pain in ny broken femur is only getting worse. Dr. Kim hasnt given me a better alternative for pain management. I hope no one else gets stuck here alone and in pain like I am. Do Not Come Here

I wont take my sick dog to this hospital if his life was on the line! The doctors are few and far between. If you do see one make sure you ask every question you possibly can think of. Hope and pray your not there for any amount of time and you dont get assigned a nurse with the last name Henok. That guy is worthless and he can leave his rude comments at the door. Youve been warned!!!! If at all possible go anywhere but here.

I took my 7 year old daughter today because she was having difficulty breathing. She was triaged and placed in a room quickly which was great. We then proceeded to wait 40-45 minutes to be seen by someone. They nurses were more concerned with their conversations about their vacation and schedule. At one point a nurse walked by and said Oh I didnt know we had people on this side. Needless to say I was extremely frustrated and called her primary and took her there immediately. The lack of urgency was rediculous. Not one person cared that a little girl was panicking and struggling to get a full breath. I left a message after leaving with the Nurse Manager and still have yet to hear back. Mount Vernon is 1 mile from my home. This is not the first time I have had an issue with Mount Vernon but it will certainly be the last! A new multi million dollar ER for the community and the lack of care and compassion is lost.

Currently at Inova Mount Vernon with my aunt who is here for the 2nd time for extreme abdominal pain and vomiting. She has been moved from the ER to a room. I told the nurse she is really thirsty, has a dry mouth and asked if she can get water. She cant give it to her until the doctor puts in an order to see if she can have it (understandable). Shes been in the room since a little before 9am, it is currently 11am (2 hrs later). From the vomiting, she is probably dehydrated and thats why she is so thirsty and has dry a dry mouth (Im not a nurse/doctor) but she is YET to have an IV put in, is not allowed to have water, and no doctor has put an order or shown up. The nurse cant do anything until orders are put in so it is not her fault. She has called the doctor, we were told the DR has a lot of patients and that weekends are busy...

My 85 years old mom was traumatized on Nov 18, 2018 by EMT Brenna in the emergency room. My mom has very small veins so, they were unable to draw blood and/or insert a catheter. So, they decided to use ultrasound to locate a vein. Well, this is when all hell breaks loose. Ms. Brenna decides to stick one of the larger needles into my moms arm searching for a vein while my mom is screaming, crying and kicking in excruciating pain, begging Ms. Brenna to remove the needle. Brenna ignored her screams and also ignored my REQUEST to STOP the procedure and continued on for several more seconds (it hurt me to my core). Please request that they numb the arm (as was done for my sister) before this procedure is done, it was TORTURE!!!

My mother in law was in observation after a emergency room visit due to falls and confusion. Mt Vernon let her out after three days stating there was nothing wrong with her. After taking her to another hospital (VHC) directly after discharge she was diagnosed with fluid on the lungs, a UTI, dehydration and still confused. Wow is all I have to say...poor case management who is the discharge gods and even her nurse said there is something still wrong with her. They were more worried about medicare paying for things other than her care and well-being. The Dr hung up on my husband stating she was fine. NOT! We were not given updates as requested and she was not well at all at time if discharge! Do not go to 6th floor B as you will get a toe tag and you walked in there with an issue but told you were fine. If staff does not like thier jobs...they need to find another!!

Generally my experience was satisfactory, with a caring and skilled pre-OP nurse, anesthesiologist and gastroenterologist. However, communication procedures need improvement:1. No needle phobia (trypanophobia) care available, whether nitrous oxide, oral tranquilizer or other palliation, despite my requests four days prior during phone interview, at check-in desk and to pre-OP nurse. (DSM top 10 fear, affects 50 million Americans.)2. CPAP not employed, though I’d brought it per instructions during phone interview and had informed pre-OP nurse.3. Allowed to wait more than 30 mins before asking and only then being informed of the doctor’s revised schedule due to previous procedure complications.4. Some waiting room attendants disrespectfully shouted patient names instead of approaching waiting area and respectfully calling names.

I visited Inova ER for complications from an accident one and a half years ago. I had to wait over two hours to be seen by a doctor. The doctor was rude and unprofessional. I still paid all the bills they sent me for the poor service I received. Now they are sending me a bill that I have already paid and asking me to pay again. I provided them with proof that I have paid it, but it looks like they dont care. They constantly keep threatening me that if I dont pay the bill (the second time) they will send my account to collection which will ruin my credit. I dont know where should I go or who should I call to get this resolved.

Its pretty good. Its busy, dont get me wrong. But...what can you expect, its a frikon hospital. For the most part I like this place. Drs are contracted (so if you didnt like the rudeness of the Dr....you should review HIM rather than the hospital). Hospitals are a facility where you should rate based on basic service (especially with reception and nursing staff), ease of administering meds (lets face it, some hospitals are the blind leading the blind) and understanding EVERYONES role. I used to be much more critical of ERs and Hospitals but once I started working in the industry, I realized that hospitals are really the facility that calls all of these local Drs to come in from their private practice based on your care. Even an ER Dr may be working there 1 day per week. Nurses work there, true...but there are bad nurses and good nurses. Too many times we expect bedside manner to be part of our experience when were sick, but we should also understand the logistics of medical care a little bit more. I get it if you were misdiagnosed, if you were sent away and swear something was more than what they thought..those are all warranted. But long waits, being dismissed a bit...thats just part of the culture in a hospital.

We all know hospital stays are never pleasant however, there are certain comforts that are needed to take the edge off for example television! For two days there was no access to TV and no one tell the patients why.I find this amazing and bordering on abusive to a patients mental health. In addition the units are dirty looking and run down. Many of the nurses and techs are very nice but are first year nurses which tells me this hospital is trying to save money.I think their cable TV service was cuff for non payment-oh one more thing,no WiFi either.

Im a bit surprised at all the negative reviews. This is a small hospital, but it does its job well. I have been here for a breast biopsy, as well as an ER visit. Lucky me, right? :) Each time the staff has been exceptionally kind and informative. No wait times, its a very quiet ER. The Wi-Fi is free and speedy, and the hospital is as clean and neat as Id expect. They have free valet parking as well. If I have to go to a hospital, which is not my favorite thing to do, Mount Vernon Inova is as good as most and certainly quieter than many :)

What do you do when the hospital sends you away??? Even though the main Sentara hospital is more convenient to me as it is a mere 5-10 mins away I went to INOVA Mount Vernon Hospital (IMVH). There I was treated with the best of care. I was admitted (?not emergency situation though?) for 4 days almost 5, but with a little pleading they allowed me to leave with strict instructions to come back ASAP if I started to feel ill at all. A couple months later I started to feel off again, but b c of how Sentaras doctor treated me previously (making me feel like some gnat that needed swatting) I waited to see if it was temporary. After 3 days there wasnt any improvement and I actually felt worse. I felt so sick I didnt know if I could even make it to the hospital and momentarily contemplated calling an ambulance. From that prior experience I wanted to avoid the drama with Sentara all together so I made a beeline for IMVH. Of course I knew something was wrong, but I was far more sick than I realized. They told me I was in sepsis I had to have emergency surgery & this time I was in for almost 2 weeks. Even though my visit was longer the service was still outstanding & never wavered. The Nurses, Techs, CNAs, Custodians, Food/Hospitality, Transport and one of the most important members the Doctors any, and everyone who I came into contact with was very friendly & went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of even if it wasnt their job or I wasnt their patient. This is truly an outstanding Hospital. If I was in a accident I would force the ambulance to take me to any Inova Hospital but especially IMVH. They need more nurses especially at night. 2 nurses for 12 patients that ratio doesnt seem right when everyone is sick & needs attending to. Although they are understaffed IMVH supercedes both Sentaras (especially the Minnieville location) in every category. Even being understaffed they make you feel like every issue you have matters. They also call you afterwards to see how youre doing and they remind you if you stop feeling well dont hesitate to come back. The ER doctor gave me her card after being admitted and said to call her with any issues. They went above and beyond to make me feel like I was a V.I.P. guest. If everywhere we went had this type of customer service no one would have a bad day. I thought Harris Teeter had great service this Hospital puts them to shame. Please Mount Vernon get more Nurses and the staff that you do have, you must pay them and treat them well. The food for it being a hospital is better than average, but there is room for improvement. Unless you plan on putting a Subway like some hospitals have now take that money and pay the nurses. They are worth every penny and more . Any philanthropists that reads this review this is a hospital that would greatly benefit from donations. I cant brag or say enough about the outstanding accommodations.

I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE.I have two review about this hospital and I havent return ever since. My brother was admitted here when he was 6 months since he has muscle was turning black around his eyes. At first it was light purple to black the night we went, and they found nothing in his blood and thought it was allergic reaction to milk. My mother knew something bite my brother eye like insect. She beg for more test but they couldnt do anything else. They were discharged that night. My mother in her heart believe it wasnt that. We went to pediatric first thing in the morning and his skin was completely black around his eyes. Immediately our pediatric call 911 and told my mother that he shouldnt been discharged and this was serious. My mother ask if we could go to Fairfax. Fairfax Hospital save his life. He was in the hospital for 3 months. He had infection in his blood and the test clearly show high white blood count and low red blood count. My rating was in 2012. I was having lower back pain for two week than it quick came around the side. I thought it was because I was doing sport. I was doing cheerleading and gymnastic. Then I couldnt go to the bathroom, and my pain grew strong by the day. One day, July 27, I woke up in pain like a truck hit me. I couldnt move and crying in pain. My mother was out of town and my father was working. So my brother babysitter took me to the hospital. Here where it get really bad. They say I couldnt be admitted without my parents consent. I could barely move that they had carry me in. So I had to wait, they got me in after 30 mins. I was crying out of pain and was feeling numb. It took two hour before a doctor and nurse can see me. they took urine and blood test and clearly they say it was normal. I kept telling them that the meds they were giving me didnt help and crying. They diagnosis me with UTI. and Send me home. It took 6 hour for that and send me home with meds. They say they didnt have time to do Cat Scan or X-ray to see my internal organs. So I stop fighting with them and went home. I didnt take the meds they give me so I know it wasnt that. The next day, I was vomiting blood and couldnt move. My mother took me to Fairfax Hospital, and the emergency room got me in quick since I vomit blood. The doctor and nurse came quick and diagnosis me with Rupture Appendix. They were wondering why they diagnosis me with UTI. When clearly my blood test had high white blood count and no sign of UTI. They say its good thing you came to us today or you would have die. NEVER AGAIN I GO TO MOUNT VERNONI NEVER WILL GO TO MOUNT VERNON HOSPITAL AGAIN. I COULD OF DIE. EVEN MY BROTHER. THEY DONT CARE AT ALL. I HAD MISS MY SPORT FOR HIGH SCHOOL SINCE I WAS IN TREATMENT FOR 2 MONTHS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED.
