I love this place. They made a cake for my daughters first birthday. They customized it to have no sugar, but sweetened with maple syrup. The people working here are always friendly. The prices are also very reasonable. I just wish I lived closer. I would do all of my grocery shopping here.

I love Honest Weight. It has a great selection of healthy and organic food. Every aisle is well organized so you can easily find what you need. They have an area where you can buy coffee and food to go, including a salad bar and a choice of three soups. There are many vegan and vegetarian selections available in the aisles and in the to go section. They also have an area with books, magazines, and organic health and beauty products.

The house made curry chicken salad is worth the trip. We like to pick up the chicken salad, a baguette, a few small cheeses, an apple or two, a bottle of Nine Pin Belgium cider... A great grocery store, with endless variety and best of all, you can bring your own (clean) containers so you dont have to generate ever more plastic into our oceans and landfills! Lots of local produce, nuts, flours, teas, meats... Who knew so much variety is available from local producers! Thats why everythings fresh here. Oh, and the stuff from afar? (coffee, chocolate, bananas, etc): fair trade.

The parking lot can be a bloodsport. But the selection of artisanal soaps, and bulk items (including loose spices) is totally worth risking some blood stains on your baja hoodie, while you beat someone to half to death with their birkenstock over them parking their Chrysler 300 with Missouri license plates in an EV charging spot. And the staff are super friendly!

This is a great find in the Capital region! I was directed to this store in my search for a Vegan Turkey this Thanksgiving, and this place is an absolute delight for anyone serious about cooking. They have Grana Padano, which I could not find at other speciality stores. The only problem is their checkout folks. From the bulk products, I had some lasagna sheets, and the sleepy/high checkout person entered the code wrong and charged me for Alaskan sea weed. I did not check it at the store but then I came home to find that the lasagna was $43!! Had to make the trip back and they corrected it, but should not have happened. The store clerk could probably see that it wasnt seaweed but lasagna, but he turned a blind eye to it. That has put a spanner into the works.I will return, but only occasionally and will keep an eagle eye for what they charge me for.

Moving towards a vegan lifestyle is one of the most difficult decisions Ive ever had to make. Honest Weight helps with the vegan lifestyle by providing vegan and vegetarian foods and drinks. Ive never seen so many healthier options in a grocery store my life (aside from Whole Foods in which I never shopped). This is because I lived in urban neighborhoods where choosing a healthy lifestyle is very rare. The prices are reasonable to a little steep depending on what you are getting. The food that you can measure out such as grains, nuts, coffee, etc are very steep per lb. But there are cheaper options without sacrificing quality.

Ive always wanted to go to a bulk store and I was amazed by how many items there were. Many items in the store were a bit pricey for me, but most of the bulk items were very reasonable and I loved that I could choose the exact amount I wanted. I tried a bunch of different salts. Im not from this area so I didnt buy any groceries, but they had many options for vegans, meat eaters, and everything in between. Many groceries, prepared foods, baked goods, plus the food and drinks at the cafe and a great selection of household products.I didnt buy the pie, but it was very cute.

When you need something obscure, organic or normal honest weight generally has a version of it. I typically go there for the bulk spices and cheeses. The produce tends to follow the farmers seasons more closely than a traditional grocery. So if you want something off season it isnt as fresh but if you get something during season then it is great. As far as price it can be really expensive but if you become a member it is on par with whole foods and if you are a member worker then it is as if not more cheaper than the traditional stores

My favorite co-op in the area. They have really expanded their store and all the great things that they sell! I have been coming to this store since 1976, when they were on Quail Street. Really cool alternative to shopping at a place like Whole Foods. They’ve got your everyday produce, meat, dairy, etc but they’ve also got a ton of unique and specialty products that you’d have trouble finding elsewhere. Very good beer selection too, which I was impressed with.Only downside is the cost. This is not a cheap store to shop in, and if you want, say, cajun cashews, you’re gonna pay a lot of damn money for them.Definitely worth checking out often, it just may not be your weekly spot for full groceries.

Although you’ll be hard pressed to leave HWC with your pocketbook in tact—the quality and selection of their produce and bulk food is the highest I’ve found at an upstate grocery store, and you’ll pay (fairly and squarely) for this—shopping here is a pleasure, one in which I’ve routinely discovered new foods I didn’t even know I wanted: odd dried kelps, obscure root vegetables, dehydrated bulk favas, and so on. Several months into the covid pandemic, I miss these happenstance discoveries while on the shopping floor, but I am also so grateful to the staff at HWC who have stepped up to shop for the immunocompromised (and whomever requests a curbside pickup), which has meant I haven’t stepped foot in the store since February. Thank you guys.

I love this store. The people who work here are always super friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Theres a great variety of items you just wont find in a regular grocery store. Whether youre a meat eater or vegan, youll find plenty of options. They have a large number of delicious soups. I especially like their split pea. They have great cheese section and usually have several cheeses out for tasting. This is the only place in the area to carry items from Samis Bakery, which has low carb bread and low carb lavash. The bread isnt bad, but the lavash is excellent. A lot of organic items as well. You can even get a meal there.

This is the BEST grocery store in the entire region, hands down. Absolutely NOTHING else compares! Their all-natural/ organic daily buffet is delicious, unique, and fresh. The vendors that the store works with are local first, organic, and energy conscious, which takes all the guess work out of shopping for the safest brand of foods, as opposed to shopping somewhere like Whole Foods where many unsafe ingredients are simply hidden under different names. The staff and volunteers are super friendly and helpful at Honest Weight. This grocery store has everything you would ever need-- I almost never have a need to go to another store.

Surprisingly, Honest Weight did not accommodate my service dog! My 16 pound dog rides in the baby seat (covered with a clean blanket) of a shopping cart. My dog is considered hypoallergenic and is well groomed. She is certainly cleaner than some diapers that might have contact with a shopping cart baby seat and she is on a blanket! Beyond my qualifying disability, I recently had major surgery and cannot lift my dog. Logic would bring about an exception to the store policy for this small animal so I could shop. I was shocked at the way I was treated! I have no choice but to switch to Whole Foods and Trader Joes. I tried my best to remain loyal to Honest Weight after their move. Sadly, in my opinion, they just hit a new low in morality. I took your advice and spoke with Stephen. He said he would get back to me in a few days and he did not get back to me.

Unsanitary and expensive. The workers and shoppers often have awful body odor. The buffet and deli are horribly cross contaminated.
