I just had the best customer service experience that Ive had in a long time! Alexis was GREAT! If she wasnt the manager she should be! She was kind and friendly. I went their to use the self service pet wash, which is awesome. I bathe my dog weekly, because shes a big dog and shes a house dog. I love that they give you 30 minutes (you can take your time), they supply the towels and its very affordable! Id definitely recommend this store and make sure you get the dirty dog discount card!

Well stocked, nicely set up, clean store. The staff is always friendly and generally well informed. The animals appear comfortable and their enclosures look clean.I go to this particular store several times a year because they have the largest selection of quality pet food and if they are out of stock of the thing that you need, they will compensate for your trouble.I absolutely recommend going to this store.

My son and I were in need of supplies for our aquarium. There was a employee who not only was knowledgeable about what we needed, he also showed us a app that gave us the best prices on our purchase. That was the BEST shopping experience to date.

I purchased this for my dogs collar because it was recommended by Dr Judy Morgan and I hear so many stories of the regular tags becoming caught in heat vents and decks. Fits the collar beautifully and I have no complaints. I would recommend them.

Went in for a few items. A couple of puppy toys for some puppies we were transporting, a new dog collar and a few other things. We even had our dog with us. Got most of what I came in for but needed help. My daughter and I walked up to TWO employees talking to another customer. The one employee CLEARLY looked and me and made eye contact. She then finished her conversation with the other customer and employer. That employee went with the customer and walked away. The one that made eye contact with me turned as and w as lked back to the register never acknowledging we existed. She went to her register while we waited in line, phone rings, she answers it and we ALL got to hear how the groomers that worked there are pregnant and dont w as nt to work, blah, blah, blah. Meanwhile the other clerk is ringing up a guy and his wife. Clerk who ignored us then says to come over. Asks if we found everything okay, which I proceed to tell her no, we needed help but when we walked up you looked at us and walked away. She then proceeded to make excuses such as well maybe the intercom went off and we were called to the front. I told her flat out no, ya didnt, you looked at us as we stood there waiting for you to finish with the other woman and you walked away. So clearly you didnt want to help us. That I am purchasing the items I had already picked up and we would go to another store where I clearly would get help and spend my money there.Its the FIRST, ONLY & now LAST time I will go into this store. Rudeness at its best.

The Pet Supplies Plus in Lakemore (Akron), Ohio is a very clean store that is well stocked. The staff is friendly, and one member went out of her way to assist us by checking stock to see if a sale item was still available and confirmed that a delivery truck would arrive before the sale ended. She even suggested we call first to make sure the item had been delivered before we drove to the store, and she concluded by asking if we needed any further help. Well definitely return to shop this location.

I used to always have a great experience here. Usually I still do....when they decide to have their grooming area open. They seem to make up their own hours for the grooming salon on a whim, no consistency and theyve been using the excuse of being understaffed for close to a year now. This store is less than 2 miles but I choose to drive 25 minutes to a different pet store than risk walking in here again and waste my time hoping their grooming salon is actually open during advertised salon hours.

What a wonderful store to pick up just what you need for your animal! They have food and toys, clothes and even animals in need of a good home. Well worth checking out.

Nice and polite

The store is always well kept. And staff is friendly. And I appreciate that it doesnt smell like a dog pound however their tanks always seem to have ick and lots of dead fish just hanging out in the tank.. we got a tank for a beta for our daughter it was advertised for betas cost around 35$ and the beta gets stuck in the water filter constantly. Im tired of seeing my little girl overcome with worry that Laura is dead. I really wish I had purchased the other one I was looking at but went for this one since it was specifically advertised for the breed of fish we got

I purchased my first ferret from this store! The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable! They answered all of my questions, which I had a lot of being a first time ferret owner! I even asked if somebody could take me around the store and point out recommendations, and things I needed to buy for my new baby. I wanted to make sure I was all set and ready to bring him home! I got all of the supplies I needed and more! My ferret is happy in his home! I am so pleased with this whole experience! I named him Memphis! I will definitely be returning to this store! :)

The store itself is fine but if you have a schnauzer do not take your dog to be groomed! My pup came back looking like a new breed of dog! When I asked the girl why the shaved all the hair off his face ...she told me it was fine he was just all fluff underneath???? WHAT does that even mean!? He is a schnauzer. We will never go to the groomers there again!

The one manager there has been very helpful. He even took my number to call me when they get some gerbils so I dont have to keep going there to find out.

Great selection and helpful staff. We had questions about tiny kitten things and they were very helpful and efficient in the items they suggested. After we lost our little kitten to Parco, they took the uneaten cans back (I threw out the toys and stuff). Since we rescued 2 more kittens from summit humane, they were exceedingly helpful with discounts and toys to help the new cats get comfy.I love pet supplies plus!

If I could give you guys zero stars I would. The kid with blonde hair working over by the fish today (January 22) at 11:45 ish was a huge jerk. We have never liked this pet supplies plus, but he absolutely ruined it today. We will not be returning after his smart comment. We needed crickets for our gecko and you guys were out (no surprise here, you usually never have any) and my boyfriend sarcastically said that our gecko was going to die since you guys didn’t have any and apparently neither does the next closest pet supplies plus. The next closest place would be petsmart, a good twenty five minutes away, and it’s annoying to have to drive up that way but we are going there now. Pet supplies plus is right down the road. That is why my boyfriend sarcastically said that our gecko was going to die. But this kid decided to joke around with another guy and said “oh? Did you hear that? We’re murderers!” Very unprofessional. Huge jerk, especially when I misheard him and thought he said Manchester Road had some. Will not be returning.Update*** I just called the Manchester Road store and they DO have crickets. I would really consider punishing this kid. You are going to lose a lot of customers if he keeps lying and getting an attitude with them.

Great place to shop for pet products

A lot of thier tanks have ick, and they use the same net for all thier tanks. Can you say cross contamination? You can clearly see all the white dots across many fish in several tanks. I have had to resist buying for a while now from here everytime I go back its the same old thing, and already has ick.

Its about what youd expect. A wide selection of treats, foods, toys, maintenance items, etc for dogs, cats, birds, fish, bunnies, rodents, etc. for retail prices. They offer some pet grooming as well, but I have no direct experience with this, nor have I seen anyone use the service here.Pleasant and engaging staff.They do have live animals available for purchase. On this visit they had four ferrets, a bunny, two male kittens, and several birds and fish, all of which seemed healthy.I have mixed feelings about sourcing pets from an establishment that is primarily a food and accessories retailer and not a shelter or facility that primarily handles live animals. Its clear from the way the animals are maintained that live animals are an also does and not the most important part of the business. This is not to suggest that the animals are mistreated or unloved.

Buy something on sale in conjunction with their always out there coupons and its cheaper than Amazon!

I really like Pet Supplies Plus but to be honest the dog food is extremely expensive in my mind Tire purchase the same dog food elsewhere for close to half the money I went there and got a cone for my dog because she was being spayed course they gave me the wrong size column they picked it out for me do I have to give it away to the Veterinarian Clinic I got my dog Operation they do have dog shampoos and nail trimming those are good option when you go here and they do have most anything you need Frost every pet they do not have saltfish but they do have items needed for your tank their pets arent Limited Stair Supplies for your pets are not swing by hopefully Ill have what you want make sure you check twice on the products you buy to make sure that the right products for your not everybody there knows I lied about certain pets

RUDE customer service, first of all lines were pretty long. Employee came to the register that opened and I was first in line to be helped. I go up but I said I had a question about the product that I was buying. I looked up at him and he had this look on his face like I said something wrong! I just asked if it would keep my dogs attention for longer than 5 minutes. And the response was “just depends on your dog” not very helpful. And kept giving me dirty looks the entire time. Never going there again.

Great store but it leans heavily toward dog owners. Several isles just for dogs while cats have 1/2 of an isle or less.

I just called to schedule a grooming appointment for my dog. I asked the staff member if I could schedule an appointment to get my dogs nails trimmed because I have in the past. She said I didnt need to make an appointment, just walk in & bring his rabies shot paperwork. I asked a simple question He has been there in the past do I still need to bring it or do you keep them on file. She rudely replies I am in the middle of giving a dog a bath, I cant just leave him in the tub. Never once did I asked her to do so, I figured it would have been a general knowledge question. There was no need for the rudeness. A simple I can check on that for you, but I am currently bathing another dog at this time, can I get your telephone number to call you back? Customer service people! Rude! Rude! Rude!
