What a blessing it is to have this gem just a stones throw from our house! The meat is the BEST weve had (and weve shopped local Cleve/Akron markets for years). We also eat lots of Faroe Island salmon and these prices are the best weve found. Staff is always friendly and the owners are often on premise. Convenient items to pick up instead of running to the big grocery stores, although some items are priced a bit higher. In our minds, its all about the meat and fish and theirs is the best!

Every town across the US should have a place like this. Rustic/beautiful location and building which makes this place feel cozy and local. Its not just a pretty shop though, High High high quality meats including top grade Wagu, Dry Aged charcuterie and steaks, and amazing cheese as well. Just go visit. its a must.

Everything they sell is fantastic. However, its the most disorganized experience of any store. There is no system or process to follow and its mass confusion every time I am in there. Sometimes, one person helps you get everything, sometimes you need a different person from each case. I dont get it. No one knows whos being helped and whos waiting. Some type of numbering system and one person helping you for your entire order would probably help more than what they got going on now. But the meat is great. Best meat around.

Very disappointed in the selection of food. I still recommend Dumas for steaks, chops, and sausage. The farmers rail advertised soups and sandwiches,....none were made. Fruit was bruised and rotten. I suggest for fruit Kreigors or Cornerstone . Presslers Meats is a great choice too for meat and chops.

Old school butcher shop and deli. The feel when you walk in this place is amazing! Even though it’s brand new, you feel like you are walking into a old butcher shop from 100 years ago. Locally raised meats from Brunty Farms and amazing deli meats!

Been her three times now, best meats I’ve seen for the prices. Top notch. Grabbed some Picanha yesterday, Sous vide them, they where the best steak I’ve ever had. Quality!!

I bought chicken and bacon from the owners when it was on their property. Hands down the best bacon I’ve ever had. I recently bought a beef tenderloin roast and it was honestly the best beef tenderloin I’ve ever had. I don’t eat beef normally. I had never prepared one before. I reverse seared this one and my family raved for hours that this was their favorite thing I’ve ever cooked!

Excellent selection of unique items that arent generally found in Ohio such as grouper and stone crab claws. Also have enhancements like truffle butters and spices.

Stopped in on Saturday to get lamb for Easter dinner. The cut we wanted wasnt available so the person working recommended the saddle of lamb, which the Rail had already seasoned and stuffed. I dont usually go for a cut of meat already seasoned and prepped, but wow! They really had the perfect flavors (rosemary and orange zest) and the saddle was an excellent cut. Thank you for the great suggestion! You all do an amazing business. Love having this gem in my neighborhood.

The family and I wanted a nice dinner stopped in for some fish. Ended up with some really nice grouper (to do on the smoker) and stuffed rabbit for surf and turf. The rabbit was recommended by the staff and the staff was all very kind. I had my father in law with me from out of town and he loved the experience. And the cuts were perfect !!

Great meats, cheeses, in-season vegetables, along with a variety of other surprises each time I am in. Staff is always very friendly. Consistently we remark on how delicious the meat from here is after we prepare it. One tip---meat items (including brats) only stay fresh for 1-2 days after purchase unless you freeze them. Might be obvious, but I assumed things would last longer, glad I asked before making them! :)

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and boy were we surprised! I thought it was just a meat market, but they have so much more!We bought some bone-in pork chops that were about an inch thick. We tried a couple of different cheeses and bought a very mild, milky-white cheddar and some pepperoni. They were delicious on crackers. We also picked up an Ohio honey goat cheese spread which was also great.We grilled the pork chops while were were enjoying the cheeses and everything for our Sunday night dinner was delicious.If youre not sure what you want for dinner on a Sunday night - stop in and talk to the nice people behind the counter. Theyll have some great suggestions for some amazing food!

The service was fast, courteous and even with the COVID restrictions the wait was short. The Cod filets I brought were very delicious and fresh! I baked it in a mixture of the stores fish seasoning mixed with butter and rubbed it on both filets and baked them at 400 for 20 minutes. Flaky and flavorable. I cannot wait to taste the T-Bones.

Nothing makes my tummy feel better than locally sourced food from friendly people. I have buying poultry from brunty farms for years at the countryside farmers market and now it is all available 6 days a week. Brilliant!Try the Italian chicken bratwurst.Another thing I noticed, I was pulling out of the parking lot 5 minutes after closing time and a pickup pulled up. The employee stayed open for one last shopper. Nice.

Excellent pasture-raised meats and a small variety of dairy, bakery and other fare (including fresh organic produce during the summer.) Very courteous, friendly staff. A little pricey, but worth it for healthy, high quality food. The Bruntys have a great butcher shop that I visit regularly.

Visited The Farmers Rail for the first time today....what a great experience! This business truly is a local gem. The shop was incredibly clean and vibrant. All of the employees were extremely friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. The meat & cheese selection is excellent and there are also some great options for people like me with dietary restrictions or for those who simply choose to eat as clean as possible. Kudos to the entire team and thank you for the great experience!

A nice selection of reasonably priced meats. Im told theres a butcher on site.I was happy to see short rib sliced to make kalbi. Maybe some sliced ribeye for bulgolgi, too? Please?The small selection of seafood looks top notch, but is also pricey. The same is true of brats.I saw that they age on site, including a full pork haunch. Southern style pork would be awesome.They supplement with a handful of nice, but slightly overpriced artisanal cheeses, produce, and other niceties. These items are handy if you want to one stop shop, though youd find more selection and better prices nearby.

I’m unable to comment about the quality of their meat, as I haven’t been able to purchase any. They really need something to manage the line/crowd. I kept trying to say I was next but they kept helping other customers. Someone finally asked what I wanted, then told me to wait because she needed to do something. Rather than the next clerk helping me, she helped someone else. I eventually gave up and left.Addendum in response to Owner:Thank you for your reply. Please see DeVitis, Krieger, Heinens or any other busy butcher/deli for ideas how to handle busy times. (Ticket system, queue rope, etc.) The fact you had to check the security camera to confirm my story makes it even worse because it means that the worker who asked what Id like then stopped to work on something else didnt care enough about a customer to follow-up with her coworkers to make sure I was taken care of, or even notice when I left unassisted. It also means that you lost more than one customer on Saturday because I was in a little after 10:30, the person who walked out unassisted between 11:30-12 wasnt me.
