A very good place, carrying lots of advanced outdoor gears which others don’t.I was introduced from someone, and I liked so much with their gears which I didn’t find from other stores.Definitely worth to visit, specially for hardcore outdoors!I was too busy checking gears, did not take too many pictures.

Couldn’t be happier with my experience shopping here. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly and is so obviously passionate about the outdoors. Payton was helping me find a pack for my first multi day trip and even though we didn’t have any luck finding the right one, he was more than happy to suggest other models for me to look up. Even though I live in Surrey, I’m going to be making the trip out here for just about all of my outdoor supplies.

Very knowledgeable staff. Update. Recently went in looking for a pair of hunting boots. Ended up purchasing a pair of Trappers. Went for a hike right after and it was definitely a good buy. The lady who helped wasnt pushy and informative. Better than going to Cabelas.

Quality customer service. The employees were super welcoming, but better than that, super knowledgeable. They are actively involved in the fields of outdoor sports and therefore have first hand experiences with the items they are selling. We ended up spending hours there learning about the different options for mountaineering boots and gloves my husband needs for his upcoming hike on Mt. Baker. We were grateful to not only find these items at reasonable prices, but to feel like the employees cared more about helping us find the right product than just making a buck. They have become our go-to location for outdoor equipment.

Pretty big selection at this store. Best time to find summer gear on sale is september (as with any outdoors store)! From paddleboards to rock climbing gear to cooking pots and pans: theyve got the works for outdoor gear!

Love this place, one of the few stores that stock an abundance of athletic shoes in my more rare size if 11 1/2 while they stock some of the more expensive stuff there are always good deals and sales and the staff is pretty experienced as well, happy trekking everyone!

Any sporting attire needs you have you can fill here. It may appear a tad pricey but the quality is top shelf!

This is a very nice store. Everything is laid out super well, and it has a very nice appeal. There were two staff one new and one senior that were very friendly and willing to help us. The owner came by too and helped us pick some stuff out, had great knowledge of everything there.

My backpack beeped when I entered the store. I was asked accusingly if I was bringing something into the store. Later, while trying on footwear, the male sales person sat directly in front of me. His face was a few inches from mine. As a woman it felt very uncomfortable. When I was leaving, they discussed with me the possibility of searching my backpack. It was a very disturbing experience overall. I have spent hundreds of dollars there on foot wear and camping gear. I will never shop there again. I will recommend to my friends to shop elsewhere.

After reading the reviews I noticed that most of the 1-3 star reviews mention high prices...VPO will price match if the same item is on sale/cheaper in another outdoor store in the general area so if you notice something that seems more expensive it doesnt matter. Most of my gear is from VPO and I have always been happy!

Top notch gear.

Interesting location to find above the highway, but ample parking and friendly service. Similar product lineup to Atmosphere or Cabelas, clothing all has an outdoorsy focus. Lots of gear for camping or outdoor activities.Only downside was everything in stock was pretty much MSRP, and the change rooms are just a curtain that faces the front entrance.

Really good selection, and I really wanted to like this store today as it was recommended to me. However, it was a bit odd as far as customer service. After buying a pack today, I commented that I was surprised that they did not take American Express. The owner immediately jumped into the conversation about how they charge to much. It was super awkward. I am pretty loyal to my Amex as I get about 3 weeks worth of free hotel stays from it each year for my travels. As a result I use it for any major purchase. After buying the daypack, My plan was to ask them some questions about a new Yakima rooftop box, and my wife was looking for an Osprey travel pack that we want to pick up this weekend. At first glance, I thought I had found the store I was looking for, but after the exchange i just left.I guess we will go somewhere else, because I will be using my Amex to buy them and pretty much everyone takes it. Sometimes little %s that a credit card company charges may be costing a lot more in the long run when you drive your customers away by limiting their payment options.

VPO Abbotsford is a wonderful store. I have been a loyal Valhalla customer for many years and have always found the staff to be brilliant. Brent (the owner) is a very personable and passionate man. This past January I was given the opportunity to work at Valhalla Pure Outfitters and apprentice under Brent and Karla. I spent five months as their employee, learning the ways of the outdoor industry as I attended business school. Here are a couple things I learned from my experience at Valhalla Pure Outfitters Abbotsford:- VPO Abbotsford bleeds for their customers. As a former employee I have witnessed managers at this store fighting for you the customer countless times over a warranty issues or unsatisfactory product.- VPO Abbotsford uses its position in the industry to bless others. Brent and Karla have blown we away at how they do business with no profits, local businesses and customers. They truly have your best interest in mind.- VPO Abbotsford has kick ass product. As a customer I had not clue what was involved to get products in the store, but after transitioning to an employee my appreciation grew exponentially. VPO goes to great lengths to evaluated what products to have in store and I assure you that each product they bring in is top of the line performance gear.- VPO Abbotsford has fantastic staff. Staff culture is set by the leadership, Brent and Karla do a fantastic job hiring and training staff to meet the needs of the customer. The VPO staff meet 3-4 times a month after hours to discuss new products and receive training from experts. The staff also spend their days off using the very gear they sell in store and have an incredible understanding of each product.Vahalla Pure Outfitters Abbotsford is doing great things.
